Marc was Dev’s teacher

I am writing as an Associate Professor at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers (ENSAM), where I teach second-year courses on the modeling of multiphysics systems using Bond Graphs. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I supervise group projects designed to challenge students with contemporary multidisciplinary problems and I’m responsible for the third year “Mechatronics” specialization semester. Dev KUMAR was a student in my second-year class, where he demonstrated curiosity, engagement, and rigor in mastering the modeling of multiphysics systems. His performance was consistently outstanding, and continued his academic journey within the "Mechatronics" specialization, which I oversee. Mr. KUMAR’s enthusiasm and motivation aligned perfectly with the goals of this program, and he excelled during that specalization semester. As an example, he studied how reinforcement learning could be applied in the context of robotics by driving an UR7 cobot. This kind of multidisciplinary skills, at the borders of mechanics, computer science and AI, makes Dev's profile quite unique. Mr. KUMAR is now seeking to complete his academic training through an international mobility opportunity. His professional aspirations are deeply rooted in his passion for robotics and his commitment to making this field accessible to a broader audience. I thus strongly recommend Dev KUMAR for admission for a VIE whithin your company. His intellectual curiosity, technical skills, and dedication make him an ideal candidate for this program. I am confident he will contribute meaningfully to your business and benefit greatly from this experience. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information.

I highly recommend Dev Kumar, who delivered excellent results for the Pricing team. The AI based pricing tool he developed helped us review our pricing more effectively and significantly improved our efficiency. He took a proactive approach and was able to solve problems independently. I believe he will be a valuable asset to any company that has the opportunity to hire him.

Fakhreddine Ababsa

Full Professor at Arts et Métiers ParisTech

in
Fakhreddine was Dev’s teacher

I had the pleasure of teaching Dev Kumar during his third year in the Mechatronics Engineering program at ENSAM, where he attended my courses in Computer Vision, Image Processing, and Artificial Intelligence. He also worked under my supervision on the UR7e Reinforcement Learning project. Throughout both the coursework and the project, Dev consistently demonstrated outstanding analytical skills, a strong ability to understand complex concepts, and a remarkable level of professionalism. His assignments and technical reports were always of excellent quality, well-structured, rigorous, and among the best in the class. I would confidently place him within the top 10% of the students I have taught in terms of academic performance, commitment, and work ethic. During the UR7e Reinforcement Learning project, Dev was one of the driving forces of his team. He showed great initiative, technical curiosity, and leadership while maintaining an excellent collaborative attitude. His dedication, reliability, and ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions were particularly impressive. I highly recommend Dev to any organization looking for a motivated, technically strong, and dependable engineer. I am confident that he will quickly become a valuable asset to any research or engineering team, and I wish him every success in his future career.

Olivier Seguin

Senior Data Engineer | Lead Analytics Engineer at Air Liquide

in
Olivier worked with Dev on the same team

I had the pleasure of working with Dev during his internship with our team. Although I wasn’t his internship supervisor, we collaborated regularly on the functional and technical aspects of several projects. I particularly appreciated his quick wit, curiosity, and ability to question his initial intuitions in order to make rapid progress. Passionate about robotics, he demonstrates a genuine desire to learn and understand the challenges he faces. During his internship as a Product Owner, we discussed at length the importance of clearly defining and scoping a requirement before beginning development. He quickly understood that a successful project isn’t about moving forward as quickly as possible, but about taking the time to clarify objectives, expectations, and success criteria before getting started. This ability to incorporate feedback and adapt his approach to work is, in my opinion, a valuable quality. I am confident that Dev will put these qualities to good use in his future projects, and I wish him every success as he continues on his career path.

Annu Chaudhary

Associate & Co-Founder at ARC Construction

in
Annu reported to Dev directly

I had the opportunity to co-found ARC Construction with Dev, and from day one it was clear he was the right person to lead the company through its early stages. Despite the demands of his engineering studies, he always found the time to stay organized, guide the team, and keep everyone focused on our goals. His leadership came naturally, and he was able to make thoughtful decisions while motivating those around him. What impressed me most was his ability to combine vision with execution. He wasn’t just leading the company, he was building a strong foundation for its growth. I’m confident he will bring the same dedication, leadership, and problem-solving mindset to any team or organization he joins.

Sarmeegan SABESAN

Associate Engineer @ Capgemini Engineering | Toyota Motor Europe

Sarmeegan and Dev studied together

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Dev since we began our journey together at Arts et Métiers ParisTech. From the very start, he stood out, not only as a committed student but also as a dynamic and versatile individual. Together, we built strong discipline through intense gym training and by providing tuition to both college and undergraduate students. These experiences revealed Dev’s determination, leadership, and dedication to helping others grow. Dev is especially knowledgeable in the Mechatronics sector, with a robust portfolio of hands-on projects that showcase both technical depth and innovative thinking. Beyond engineering, he has also demonstrated impressive acumen in finance and business, successfully owning and managing companies under his name. His entrepreneurial spirit and strategic mindset make him a standout among his peers.

Starting January 2027
Business France international assignment

I am a Robotics, Mechatronics and AI Engineer, graduated from Arts et Métiers ParisTech in 2026. My work connects mechanical engineering, embedded systems, control, computer vision, deep learning and data analysis through industrial and research projects in France and Switzerland.

I completed a ML Engineer & Data Analyst internship at Georg Fischer Machining Solutions in Geneva, now operating as United Machining Solutions, and completed my end-of-study internship at Air Liquide Paris as Product Owner for AI products from September 2025 to February 2026.

Graduated in July 2026. In January 2027, I will join SLB in the United States as a V.I.E. Ontology Engineer within Data & AI. This next chapter extends my background in robotics, machine learning and industrial data toward semantic data modelling, ontology engineering, knowledge graphs and connected industrial knowledge.

Beyond engineering, my background includes military service with the Marine Nationale, startup creation, regional-level Muay Thaï competition and professional experience across several sectors. These experiences shaped my discipline, resilience, adaptability and ability to deliver under pressure.

// MY VISION: Intelligence Beyond Human Reach

The universe is too vast and too hostile for human presence to remain the only path forward. The real challenge is not just to travel farther, but to send intelligence where humans cannot operate directly.

I want to build autonomous machines capable of perceiving, deciding and acting for months or years in extreme environments: deep space, other planets, radioactive zones or remote industrial systems.

My obsession is to fuse control theory, state estimation, robotics and learning algorithms until intelligence becomes physical: a system that can move, adapt, recover and act under real constraints.

The future of exploration belongs to autonomous systems that extend human reach beyond direct presence. That is the frontier I want to push.
